Shift swaps are a major factor in subsequent changes to the schedule. To streamline the process, we have developed a dedicated Shift Swaps module that enables employees to independently arrange swaps. When selecting a date, the module automatically suggests suitable replacements, taking into account employees' skills, knowledge, and compliance with legal and internal regulations. Proposed swaps are sent to selected candidates for confirmation, who can either accept or reject them

Once a shift swap is coordinated and agreed upon, it is automatically added to the schedule or sent for further approval to the schedule administrator. With the Shift Swaps module in place, the administrator no longer needs to manually verify the suitability or coordination of each swap. The current schedule, which is visible to both employees and administrators, always reflects all completed swaps, avoiding any confusion or ambiguity regarding the current work schedule. Moreover, the Shift Swaps module ensures the traceability of completed swaps, as schedule administrators have access to the chronological sequence of swaps, enabling them to verify who suggested and completed each swap, as well as when it was completed.
